Costs

What does it cost to set up a Dutch BV?

The cost of a Dutch BV consists of one-off incorporation costs and ongoing costs to keep the company running. This is what to budget for.

One-off costs

The main one-off costs are the civil-law notary, the registration with the Chamber of Commerce and advice on your structure. A holding structure costs more than a single BV, because two companies are set up. Our company formation package starts at € 1,495 excluding VAT. You receive a fixed quote before we start, so you know the total in advance.

Share capital

The legal minimum share capital is € 0.01. This is not a cost but money that stays in your company. Many entrepreneurs choose a somewhat higher amount, for example to make a better impression on banks and business partners.

Ongoing costs

Once your BV is running, there are ongoing costs for bookkeeping, VAT returns, annual accounts and the corporate income tax return. Our accounting subscription starts at € 49 per month excluding VAT, depending on the size of your business. On top of that come bank fees and, if you employ staff, payroll administration.

What affects the price

The number of shareholders, a holding structure, special share arrangements and a shareholder agreement all affect the price. So does whether documents need to be translated or certified. In the intro call we map this out and give you a fixed quote.
